Síol Schools Trust Compliance Statement
Síol Schools Trust is a company limited by guarantee and is a registered Irish Charity and as such is registered in the Register of Charities and in the Companies Office. Síol Schools Trust has adopted and is fully compliant with the Governance Code for charities in Ireland.
Our financial records are independently audited annually and comply with the principles of the Statement of Recommended Practice, Accounting and Reporting by Charities (SORP). Our audited accounts are filed annually with the Companies Office.
Our internal financial controls are governed by a finance group of the audit, risk, compliance (ARC) committee of the Board of Directors. Equally, we have a governance group of the ARC committee monitoring governance and compliance matters of the Board. We publish and file an annual report, which shows how we utilise our resources in accordance with the strategic priorities outlined in our Strategic Plan.
We have a voluntary Board of Directors who meet regularly to oversee the work of our Trust. All directors give freely of their time and expertise in a voluntary capacity. The Board is comprised of Directors from varied backgrounds, with expertise in among others, education, pastoral care/theology, law, business, property and finance. Directors are appointed for a fixed term and their names are listed in our audited accounts and in our annual report.
