Dominican College Muckross Park had a visiting guest speaker in from ‘Feed Our Homeless’ (FOH) a much needed charity who help the homeless with their soup kitchens, outreach programmes, clothes and food runs nightly and advice Centre. They really inspired the 3rd year students who sat in on the talk. The students worked hard to collect 410 Easter eggs for the ‘Easter egg appeal’ and FOH were thrilled to give a gift of an Easter egg to a homeless person on Easter morning. The work they do aims to give homeless families and people a feeling or warmth, acceptance and understanding, traits that our girls feel are so important in today’s society. The girls also posed in a picture depicting the amount of homeless children in Irish society today and the picture says a thousand words. The students have also vowed to work with this charity all year round as the homeless crisis isn’t going anywhere soon unfortunately and the students want to do more.
