Invitation to a Lecture with Professor Jim Gleeson

“Integrating a Catholic Perspective across the Curriculum of Catholic Schools an Australian Perspective”

Dear Colleagues,

The Mater Dei Centre for Catholic Education (MDCCE), DCU Institute of Education, is pleased to host an evening with Professor Jim Gleeson (Australian Catholic University, Brisbane) on Wed 31stJanuary at 7pm in Lecture Theatre E223, DCU St. Patrick’s Campus.

If this is of interest to you, we would be very pleased if you would keep that evening free to join the discussion. Jim is well known to many over the years for his work in Education at the University of Limerick. His recent research with teachers in Queensland, on integrating a Catholic perspective in the curriculum of Catholic schools, beyond RE, will make for a stimulating conversation. Spontaneous use of ‘teachable moments’ versus formal planning will be one issue considered. Catholic Social Teaching will be highlighted.

Please pass this invitation on to those who might be interested. Further details contained in attached poster.

For catering purposes we ask people to please RSVP by Friday 26th January to [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>.

Best wishes,
