One of the ways the students in DLS Dundalk promoted the Pay if Forward idea was by “catching people in the act” of a random act of kindness and giving them a raffle ticket. A selection of people were “spotters” ( caretakers, teachers, students) and no one knew who was a “spotter” or how many tickets they had. Since it was the last day of term the winning ticket holder got a lovely large Easter egg.
Some of our students also prepared lollipop “hands” and handed them out randomly to students they didn’t know. The sticker attached read ” lend a hand – Pay it forward and do something nice for someone today”. The school were delighted with the response from the whole school community.
