The Mission Alive Office of the Irish Missionary Union have prepared an excellent resouce for teachers on Justice and Peace issues related to missionary work. The resouce contains two DVDs, and other material to help students reflect on and learn about the meaning of Christian mission in today’s world. Copies have been sent to schools but further ones may be had from Ronan Barry at the Mission Alive Office [email protected] . The Irish Missionary Union webiste contains other RE resources on education for justice, prayer and spirituality: www.imu.ie . Many of the Congregations of the Le Chéile Schools Trust are members of the IMU.

The Euro Mediterranean Foundation for Dialogue between Cultures has prepared an excellent resource book for teaches which is available in pdf. It is entitled “How to Cope with Diversity at School: Teaching and Learning about Religious Diversity and is made up of 12 units on such topics as War and Peace, Worship, Life and Death, Clothing, Food, Art etc. Since it is a large book (230 pages) it takes a while to download but well worth a look. It would help with World religions in Junior Cert RE and also with transition year projects.  http://www.euromedalex.org/misc/rd_en.pdf
