The Catholic Schools Partnership, which is the umbrella body for Catholic Education in Ireland chaired by Fr Michael Drumm, has launched its new website. The website offers important information and news relevant to anyone concerned with the work of Catholic education especially at primary and post primary level. Position Paper from Catholic Schools Partnership

The Catholic Schools Partnership has launched a position paper as part of a process of consultation with all those interested in the provisoin of education in the Republic of Ireland. The partnership which is an umbrella group providing support for all of the partners  in Catholic schools in the Republic of Ireland, "...has reflected on many of the key issues facing all of the stakeholders in Irish schools at this time and presents this position paper to parents and students, to public representatives and civil servants, to parons and trustees, to school staffs and management, to priests and parishes and indeed to all our fellow citizens as we look to a shared future in our democratic society." Tóríacht: Post Graduate Diploma in Educational Leadership

This diploma is offered jointly by the Professional Development Service for Teachers and the Education Department NUI Maynooth. The programme is supported by the Department of Education and Skills.

It aims to enhance participants' current work and to support their preparation for future leadership and management positions. It aims to develop the knowledge, understanding, attitudes and skills for successful modern school leadership. The programme is delivered through a blended model of facilitated sessions and on-line workshops in parallel with individual and group projects and presentations. 

The course is intended for qualified teachers at primary or post primary level with a minimum of four years teaching experience. Selection may apply. Applications must be completed through
